Nutrition
Bring energy gels with you on grueling rides because it’s
easier to slam a GU when your rolling down the road short of breath than it is
to chew a dense/chewy energy bar. Use your energy bars for rest stops when you’re
trying to fuel up but also have that hunger for solid food.
Make sure to drink
plenty of fluids while riding. Energy drinks replace electrolytes that water
can’t replace. Put your energy drink in a water bottle and carry
it in a bottle cage on your bike. Camelbacks are great for longer rides. Use
them for water only, they are harder to clean.
